Responsibility

  • Assist in preparing pastries, desserts, and baked items
  • Follow established recipes and presentation standards
  • Prepare ingredients and support daily pastry production
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry workstations
  • Monitor food quality and consistency in dessert preparation
  • Assist with storage and rotation of pastry ingredients
  • Support the pastry team during busy service periods
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards

Experience and Qualifications

  • Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or Professional Cookery preferred
  • Food Safety / Food Handler Certification is an asset
  • Previous experience in pastry or baking within a hotel, bakery, or restaurant kitchen
  • Knowledge of pastry preparation techniques and baking equipment
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent presentation standards
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a professional kitchen environment
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members
  • Adherence to hotel policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
