Stephan Pascal to Lead Dominica at Windward Islands Cricket Tournament

Stephan Pascal will captain Dominica’s senior men’s cricket team at the 2026 Windward Islands Senior Men’s Tournament, scheduled to run from July 24 to August 4.
The Dominica Cricket Association has selected a 15-member squad for the regional competition, with Jahseon Alexander appointed vice-captain.
The full squad comprises Stephan Pascal, Jahseon Alexander, Alick Athanaze, Gilon Tyson, Earsinho Fontaine, Gian Benjamin, Kyron Phillip, Jedd Joseph, Lluvio Charles, Joel Durand, Micah Joseph, Tyrese Leblanc, Jahson Vidal, Edmund Morancie and Sherlon George.
Former West Indies spinner Shane Shillingford will serve as head coach. He will be supported by assistant coach Tyron Theophile and team manager Vivian Titre.
The tournament will feature a three-day match and four 50-over encounters. Dominica is scheduled to begin its campaign against Saint Lucia in the three-day match from July 26 to 28 before playing its first 50-over match on July 30.
Pascal said he is excited to lead a squad that combines experienced cricketers with several younger players.
“It’s a very well-balanced team, you know, with experienced players along with a lot of youth,” Pascal said.
He added that the tournament will provide an opportunity to see how the players respond when placed under pressure, particularly during the limited-overs section of the competition.
“I want to see how they would handle pressure situations, especially in the white-ball component of the tournament,” he said.
Pascal said he and the other experienced members of the team will assist the younger players as Dominica seeks a strong showing against its Windward Islands neighbours.
