Job Description
At Fort Young Hotel, our Stewarding Supervisor keeps the engine room spotless. You’ll supervise dishwashing, enforce health codes, and coordinate behind-the-scenes cleanliness so chefs and servers can shine. This leadership role is rooted in discipline, teamwork, and high operational standards.
Responsibility
- Supervise stewarding staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and stewarding equipment
- Conduct staff training on hygiene and safety practices
- Coordinate waste management and recycling processes
- Support kitchen operations during busy service periods
- Report maintenance issues and ensure timely resolutions
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within hospitality
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or relevant software
