Job Description
As Dive Master at Fort Young Hotel, you’ll take guests on guided underwater journeys, ensuring safety while sharing knowledge of Dominica’s reefs. If you’re certified, outgoing, and love the sea, inspire others and contribute to our eco-conscious, adventure-driven hospitality.
Responsibility
- Lead guided dive tours and marine excursions for hotel guests
- Conduct pre-dive briefings and safety checks
- Assist instructors during training sessions and certifications
- Maintain dive equipment and ensure proper storage
- Monitor diver safety and respond to emergency situations
- Promote dive packages and excursions to guests
- Log dives and maintain accurate records
- Enforce environmental best practices and marine conservation principles
- Coordinate boat logistics and assist with guest onboarding
Experience and Qualifications
- PADI Dive Master certification (or equivalent) required
- Prior experience conducting guided dives
- Strong knowledge of local dive sites and marine life
- Excellent communication and guest interaction skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy gear
- Basic first aid and CPR certification
- Strong sense of responsibility and safety awareness
- Passion for environmental conservation and marine education
