Pool Technician

Job Description

Maintainingthe pools at InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa requires precision and consistency. The Pool Technician monitors chemical levels, maintains filtration equipment, and performs routine inspections to keep aquatic facilities operating at the highest standards.

Responsibility

• Monitor and maintain pool water quality and chemical balance
• Inspect and service filtration and circulation systems
• Clean pools, skimmers, and surrounding pool areas
• Perform basic maintenance on pumps and mechanical components
• Record water testing results and maintenance activities
• Follow health and safety procedures for pool operations
• Report equipment issues and assist with repairs

Experience and Qualifications

• Certificate or training in Pool Maintenance (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years' experience in pool maintenance
• Basic plumbing and mechanical knowledge
• Ability to lift equipment and work flexible hours
• Knowledge of pool filtration and chemical systems
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow safety procedures
• Good time management skills
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Good communication and passionate about customer service, good command over written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset
