Job Description
A Perishable Attendant is wanted at H.H.V Whitchurch & Co Ltd. Take full ownership of fresh food inventory, execute precise safety handling, and curate vibrant visual displays. This stable, rewarding role is tailor-made for focused, reliable culinary and retail experts.
Responsibility
- Receive, stock, and rotate perishable goods following proper handling procedures
- Monitor product freshness and quality; remove expired or damaged items
- Maintain appropriate temperatures and cleanliness in refrigerated and freezer areas
- Ensure displays are clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines at all times
- Assist customers with product inquiries in a friendly, helpful manner
- Support inventory checks and restocking as needeo
Experience and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 100lbs
- Comfortable working in cold environments (refrigerated/freezer sections)
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Previous experience in grocery or food handling is an asset but not required
