Job Description

Join Elevation Connect as an Accounting Clerk and play a hands-on role in keeping financial operations accurate and on track. You’ll handle journal entries, assist with payroll processing, and support account reconciliations for a U.S.-based client. This role suits someone detail-focused, organized, and comfortable working in a structured, deadline-driven setting. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a strong advantage.

Responsibility

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our US-based client in the Technology Services industry.  The client provides IT consulting, tech talent solutions, and workforce development for companies by hiring, training, and deploying professionals in high-demand technologies.  The ideal candidate will have demonstrated prior work experience in an accounting role, with excellent communication skills, a strong technical aptitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working in MS Dynamics Business Central.  This role requires exceptional problem-solving capabilities, sound judgment, and strong logical reasoning skills.

  • Accurately process accounts payable, coding invoices to appropriate expense accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries for accruals, prepaids, depreciation, employee expense reimbursements, and credit card statements.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded and organized in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Support payroll operations by gathering and verifying timesheets, reimbursements, and other employee-related expenses.
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Maintain and update vendor records.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing reports and journal entries.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent work experience required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of prior work experience in accounting or related positions required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central accounting software highly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly in MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Hours:
  • Training will be conducted in the office
  • Production hours will be scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm ET
  • Availability to work should be anytime within this timeframe

Additional Information:
  • Currently hiring for a tentative start date of April 27th 2026
  • Position is part-time 24 hours per week
  • Reports directly to the Senior Operations Manager
  • Pay rate is $18.00 to $20.00 XCD per hour
