Henry Elwin

Henry Peter Elwin is a former Dominican first-class cricketer, born 29 April 1943 in Roseau. A right-hand opening batsman, he appeared for the Windward Islands and the Combined Leeward and Windward Islands during the mid-1960s, when regional first-class cricket was consolidating across the Lesser Antilles.

Playing Role and Statistics

Between the 1964–65 and 1966–67 seasons, Elwin played eight first-class matches: five for the Windward Islands and three for the Combined Leeward and Windward Islands. That selection reflects the period’s composite-team structure in which island boards supplied players to both island and combined elevens for regional championships.

Records list Elwin as a right-hand opening batsman. Across his eight first-class games he scored 290 runs at an average of approximately 19.33, with individual bests of 34 for the Windwards and 38 for the Combined side in the statistical splits published by regional cricket authorities. He is not credited with first-class wickets.
