Job Description

Do you have a love for teaching and a broad academic skillset? Orion Academy is looking for a dedicated teacher who can confidently handle English, Social Studies, and Human & Social Biology classes, using effective communication and technology-driven instruction to help students thrive.

Responsibility

• Teach English, Social Studies, and Human & Social Biology at the secondary level
• Create and follow structured lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments
• Use technology tools like Google Classroom in instruction and assignments
• Provide timely feedback and track student progress
• Collaborate with staff and engage parents when needed
• Maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment

Experience and Qualifications

• Candidate must have an associate degree or higher in the subject area.
• Prior completion of at least one year of teacher training or relevant teaching certification would be advantageous.
• Candidate has in-depth knowledge in the area of interest applied for.
• Candidate exhibits very good written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and effective communication with colleagues, students and parents.
• Candidate is proficient in utilizing technology for teaching, including an understanding of google classroom, and other digital tools used in an educational setting.
