Literature Teacher

Job Description

Shape the literary journey of students as a part-time Literature Teacher at Orion Academy. Bring stories to life, teach the art of analysis, and encourage students to express themselves creatively. Inspire a love for reading and learning in our nurturing academic setting.

Responsibility

• Introduce students to foundational literary genres and themes.
• Teach basic literary analysis and interpretation.
• Guide students in creative writing exercises.
• Foster open discussions about stories, poems, and plays.
• Encourage critical thinking and personal connections to texts.
• Provide constructive feedback on student assignments.
• Promote the enjoyment of reading among students.
• Prepare students for school-level literature assessments.

Experience and Qualifications

• Candidate must have an associate degree or higher in the subject area.
• Prior completion of at least one year of teacher training or relevant teaching certification would be advantageous.
• Candidate has in-depth knowledge in the area of interest applied for.
• Candidate exhibits very good written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and effective communication with colleagues, students and parents.
• Candidate is proficient in utilizing technology for teaching, including an understanding of google classroom, and other digital tools used in an educational setting.
