Resort Manager

Job Description

As Resort Manager at Fort Young Hotel, you’ll serve as the central point of coordination for staff, facilities, and guest services. Your focus will be on efficiency, problem-solving, and maintaining exceptional standards across the hotel. Strong leadership and decision-making skills are crucial for success in this dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibility

• Manage day-to-day operations across all hotel departments.
• Supervise, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver excellent service.
• Ensure guest satisfaction through proactive problem-solving.
• Monitor and maintain high facility and service standards.
• Oversee budgets, reporting, and operational costs.
• Coordinate with department heads to align goals and strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality standards.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s a plus.
• 5+ years progressive hotel/resort leadership, including multi-department oversight (Rooms, F&B, Housekeeping, Maintenance).
• Proven track record improving guest-satisfaction KPIs and managing budgets, cost controls, RevPAR/ADR targets.
• Strong experience in team leadership, coaching, scheduling, and performance management.
• Solid grasp of health, safety, and risk management standards; emergency response readiness.
• Tech-savvy with PMS/POS and reporting tools (e.g., Opera/Cloudbeds, MS Excel).
• Certifications such as Food Safety, First Aid/CPR, Fire Warden are advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder communication (owners, vendors, regulators) and project management for upgrades/renovations.
