Job Description
As a Porter at H.H.V Whitchurch & Co Ltd., you’ll be part of a team that keeps the company’s logistics running efficiently. The position demands reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical work, ensuring goods are properly packed, delivered, and managed to maintain customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Responsibility
- Properly pack and prepare goods received for storage or distribution
- Keep the distribution area and delivery vehicle clean and organized
- Assist with loading/unloading of goods and route navigation
- Assist in accurately delivering goods to company locations and customers as required
- Verify delivery orders and obtain confirmations
- Maintain a clean and organized distribution department at all times
- Follow all safety and handling procedures
Experience and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 100 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Team player with good customer service skills
- Experience in a similar role is a plus
