At West Tech Shipping, accuracy drives our service. The Invoice/Tariff Clerk ensures all invoices, tariffs, and manifests are processed flawlessly. With deadlines tight and service standards high, you’ll communicate across departments, verify shipment data, and maintain tariff updates. Reliability, organization, and proficiency in invoicing systems make you the backbone of smooth brokerage operations.

Responsibility

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensures the timely collection of all customer invoices.
• Ensure on-time communication with customers on their invoice status.
• ASYCUDA, Customs Laws & Procedures and Customs Classification certified.
• Ensure that updates for invoices are done in a timely manner so that all stakeholders are informed.
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work on weekends.
• Works closely with the cargo team as it relates to cargo clearance.
• Works closely with the Customer Service team ensuring that this team is always well informed with regards to cargo operations and any issues which can be customer impacting.
• Previous job experience in cargo handling or logistics.
• Prepare and process import and export documentation according to customs regulations, laws or procedures.
• Prepare customs entries for incoming cargo in a 24hr period.
• Disciplined, independent and a hard worker.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 6 CXC/CSEC passes including Math and English.
• Some proven experience in Customs Entries preparation, ASYCUDA (2 years)
• Outgoing and friendly personality. Well spoken.
• Customer orientation and capacity to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and control time effectively.
