Seasonal Cargo Assistant

Job Description

West Tech Shipping is seeking a Seasonal Cargo Assistant who can work quickly, safely, and accurately during the busy holiday period. You’ll support cargo flow from arrival to sorting, ensuring packages reach customers on time. This role suits someone energetic, dependable, and ready for hands-on work in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibility

• Responsible for clearing, sorting and packing cargo instore to their proper locations at all times.
• Ensure that cargo workflow procedures are followed with maximum efficiency.
• Assisting with the verifying of all packages at the various facilities you work at in a timely manner.
• Perform inventory counts as needed.
• Ensure that all cargo is handled in a safe and professional manner.
• Work closely with the Customer Service team providing continuous updates on cargo operations and any issues which may potentially impact customers.
• Follow company communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.

Experience and Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 80lbs throughout a work shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible, adaptable and strong, with the ability to work on weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with good patience and professionalism
• Organized and reliable.
• Ability to work to deadlines through prioritization of tasks
