Mervin Durand was a Dominican cricketer born on 27 August 1960 in Dominica. He emerged as a cricket talent in local island competitions during the 1980s and went on to represent the Windward Islands in four first-class matches and one List A match between 1989 and 1991. Primarily a left-arm orthodox spinner, Durand also demonstrated lower-order batting capability, typically batting at number eight.
In first-class cricket, he scored 136 runs at an average of 19.42, with a top score of 31, and claimed 14 wickets at an impressive average of 22.57, including a standout performance of 7 for 15 against the touring England side in St. Lucia, a feat still celebrated in West Indies cricket lore.
