Dublanc Fishing Group Donates 275-lbs of Tuna to Princess Margaret Hospital

The Dublanc Fishing Group donated 275 pounds of yellow fin tuna to the Princess Margaret Hospital. Company executive Joanna Ambo said they took the initiative to give back to the society. Ambo said the fishing group had been giving out fish donations to societies and groups for a long time and it is part of their normal objectives.

According to Ambo, the Dublanc Fishing Group has been in business for decades and giving back to the society is paramount to the company’s management. The company executive said they have been donating fish and cash gifts to communities for a long time, and beneficiaries include schools and charity homes for the homeless among others. She pledged that the Dublanc group is not ready to quit doing this anytime soon.

Ambo thanked the hundreds of donors that have helped the organization achieve its humanitarian services over the years. She thanked Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and Lady Catherine Daniel, the parliamentary representative for the region, among other philanthropists in and outside government circles.

The management of Princess Margaret Hospital thanked the Dublanc team for their support and encouraged other major organizations in Dominica to borrow a leaf from their humanitarian efforts. The hospital said giving back to society is the best way to appreciate the people for being of support to company businesses and growth. According to them, when individuals and organizations give back to communities, it fosters developmental and economic growth and aids beneficial relationships.
