BikeFest 2025 Launches at Canefield Airport, Signaling Return of Motorsport Tourism

Bike Fest 2025 officially roared to life yesterday, Monday, July 15 2025, with its launch event held at the Canefield Airport, the first sign that Dominica is again courting motorsport tourism as part of its broader events calendar.

The launch, coordinated by the Discover Dominica Authority, featured organisers, biking groups, and partners signalling the return of what is expected to be a major attraction for locals and regional enthusiasts alike. Originally scheduled earlier in the year, the second edition of the event had been postponed, but its revival is now firmly on the calendar.

Though full details of the main race day and entertainment activities are yet to be released, the use of the Canefield Airport runway as a key staging area reflects increased collaboration between tourism planners and the aviation sector.

Bike Fest debuted in Dominica in 2023 with significant turnout, drawing participants from across the Eastern Caribbean.
