Fort Young Hotel is hiring a Tour Guide/Driver to enrich our guests experience with safe, knowledgeable, and engaging journeys across Dominica. You’ll combine excellent driving skills with a passion for storytelling, showcasing the island’s history, culture, and natural beauty. This dual role requires professionalism, hospitality, and care in every interaction.
Responsibility
- Safely operate hotel vehicles for scheduled tours and guest transport.
- Provide engaging, accurate commentary on Dominica’s culture, history, and sites.
- Assist guests with itineraries, special requests, and excursion logistics.
- Maintain vehicles in clean, roadworthy condition.
- Uphold hotel standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction during all outings.
- Report and log vehicle usage, tour attendance, and guest feedback.
Experience and Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Proven driving experience on Dominica’s roads.
- Tour guiding certification (preferred) or willingness to undergo training.
- Knowledge of Dominica’s natural attractions, history, and cultural highlights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- First Aid/CPR certification (an asset).
