Public Engagement Specialist

Job Description

Simexx Inc. is seeking a dynamic and people-centered Public Engagement Specialist to join our growing team. Our company is dedicated to providing seamless administrative, property, and personal management services for Dominicans at home and across the diaspora. We serve as a vital link between our clients and the island, helping them manage their affairs with efficiency, care, and local insight.

Responsibility

This role is crucial in building and strengthening our relationships with the public, ensuring that our services meet real needs and resonate with the Dominican community both locally and abroad.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute public engagement strategies that connect with Dominicans on-island and in the diaspora
• Serve as the first point of contact for community outreach, stakeholder meetings, and public-facing initiatives
• Organize forums, surveys, and feedback sessions to understand the needs of our clients
• Strengthen community trust by representing Simexx Inc. with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
• Collaborate with our communications team to shape messaging that aligns with public concerns and interests
• Maintain relationships with civic organizations, community leaders, and government stakeholders

Experience and Qualifications

• Proven experience in community engagement, public relations, or stakeholder outreach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Deep understanding of Dominican culture, communities, and diaspora dynamics
• Ability to manage sensitive information and resolve public concerns diplomatically
• Familiarity with social media, survey tools, and digital engagement platforms
• Background in communications, public administration, social sciences, or a related field (degree preferred but not required)
• Bilingual (English/Creole or another language spoken by the Dominican diaspora)
• Experience working with diaspora organizations or expat communities
• Passion for community development and customer-centered services
