Production Assistant

Job Description

Join Benjo's Seamoss & Agro Processing Co Ltd. as a Production Assistant and support our daily processing operations. From preparing raw materials to assisting with packaging, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth production. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, value hygiene, and thrive in a structured, team-oriented environment.

Responsibility

• Support the production team with preparation of raw seamoss and ingredients
• Wash, sort, and dry seamoss under supervision, ensuring hygienic practices
• Assist in basic packaging and labeling of finished products
• Maintain tidiness and cleanliness in production and storage areas
• Carry out manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving supplies
• Help monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of any deficiencies
• Observe all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols
• Work closely with senior staff and carry out instructions efficiently
• Participate in team clean-up and end-of-day shutdown procedures

Experience and Qualifications

• Food Handlers Permit
• 1 year + experience in the Food Industry
• CSEC Passes in Maths and English
• Physically capable of performing manual tasks for extended periods
• Must be dependable, responsible, and willing to work flexible hours
• Basic literacy and the ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Positive attitude and cooperative team spirit
• Respect for cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
