Keep Ocean Oasis Hotel Dominica running smoothly as a Maintenance Technician, ensuring all systems, from plumbing to electrical, remain in top shape. Your quick problem-solving and hands-on approach will directly support guest comfort and operational efficiency in this well-appointed island hotel.
Responsibility
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and preventative servicing of hotel equipment
- Handle minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
- Respond promptly to maintenance-related guest and staff requests
- Maintain records of completed repairs and equipment inspections
- Assist with the upkeep of common areas and guest rooms
- Support emergency repairs, especially during power or equipment failures
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and property policies
Experience and Qualifications
- High school diploma or technical certification in electrical, mechanical, or building maintenance
- Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in hospitality
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service orientation
- Flexibility to work on-call shifts, weekends, or holidays
- Basic computer literacy for recordkeeping and reporting
