Kitchen Assistant

Job Description

Cozie Corner invites applications from motivated individuals with kitchen experience and strong organizational skills. The Kitchen Assistant will play an important role in preparing ingredients, maintaining hygiene standards, and assisting chefs during food service and production activities.

Responsibility

• Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
• Prepare ingredients, vegetables, sauces, and garnishes
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations
• Wash utensils, dishes, and food preparation tools
• Store ingredients and supplies according to food safety standards
• Assist chefs and cooks during meal preparation and service
• Monitor inventory levels and report low stock items
• Follow hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Support kitchen operations during busy service periods

Experience and Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and cooking
• Minimum 12 months of experience in a kitchen or culinary environment
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good hygiene and organisational skills
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork abilities
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain quality standards
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
