Job Description

Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA) is seeking a Financial Controller to lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supervising finance operations across the organization.

 

Responsibility

• Leading financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with financial policies, legislation, and accounting standards.
• Managing accounting systems, audits, cash flow, investments, and purchasing.
• Supervising and developing Finance/Accounts staff and overseeing payroll.

Experience and Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA is desirable. Candidates who are actively pursuing such qualification will be considered.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Two (2) to five (5) years of experience with supervisory-level responsibilities.
• Ability to research and analyze issues, identify options, develop and implement solutions, and monitor and maintain implementation results.
• Ability to proactively identify emerging trends and issues and develop appropriate responses or changes to business processes.
• Strong communication, analytical, and strategic planning abilities.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.

Benefits and Others

An attractive remuneration package will be offered. The position will be contractual for two years in the first instance, subject to renewal based on performance.
