Finance Manager

Job Description

ORMAT Technologies Inc. seeks a Finance Manager to oversee departmental budgets and project expenditures. You’ll manage financial reporting and strategy while helping advance a sustainable energy future. If you’re ready to lead with precision and contribute to operational excellence in Dominica’s newest geothermal facility, we want you on board.

Responsibility

• Review and analyze budget vs. actual for department and project spending.
• Regular reporting of budget status, and analysis, to department leadership (VPs, Directors, Managers)
• Projects included will be domestic and international with interaction between intercompany entities.
• Maintain numerous spreadsheets that help to consolidate data.
• Create/input, maintain, update and analyze all Resource related budgets and templates within the company’s accounting software.
• Create and upload templates for Ormat Management System (OMS) / SAP input.
• Work closely with international counterparts to add information into OMS / SAP.
• Work with the Projects department or other departments to gather and track financial obligations.
• Assists in regular reporting and data analysis across all Resource groups.
• The willingness to travel up to 10% nationally and internationally.
• The ability to travel for long distances by car and air.

Experience and Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting and/or Final Level ACCA or CPA, CGA.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an accountant or controller.
• Experience in a power generation company would be an asset.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Excellent people skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with company proprietary information.
• Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation. Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, Power Point and use of the Internet, SAP experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• The ability to work at a computer, and computer monitor, and use repetitive motion for long periods of time.
• The ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• This position requires sitting 80% of the time and standing and walking 20% of the time.
