Care Giver

Job Description

We are seeking an attentive and trustworthy caregiver to join our staff in providing excellent care to our clients. To succeed as a caregiver you should be patient, empathetic, and have strong people skills. You should be observant and committed to making your client feel safe and comfortable.

Responsibility

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting.
• Perform housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, mopping, laundry, and changing bed linens.
• Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning, and movement of clients.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments.
• Prepare and administer some medications
• Observe, monitor, and record clients' physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff.
• Encourage clients to participate in social and recreational activities

Experience and Qualifications

• Dedication to and passion to serve seniors with excellent customer service skills
• Positive attitude, the flexibility to perform various duties in service to the residents and the ability to work in a team environment
• High school diploma desirable, but not essential
• Previous experience as a senior caregiver or hospital volunteer required
• Training in safe patient handling and movement is desirable, but not essential
• Must be at least 25 years of age
• Ability to make choices, decisions, and act in the resident’s best interest
• Need to be in good health and physically fit
• Ability to prepare healthy meals and maintain a clean kitchen environment
