Liam Sebastien

Liam Andrew Shannon Sebastien (born September 9, 1985) is a prominent Dominican sportsman and sports administrator, widely recognized as one of the most successful cricket captains in the history of the Windward Islands. As the son of the legendary Lockhart Sebastien, Liam has successfully extended his family’s sporting legacy, transitioning from an elite all-rounder to a key decision-maker in regional sports governance.

Early Life and Education

Liam was born in Roseau and grew up in Goodwill. Immersed in the sporting culture of the Nature Isle from birth, he followed in his father’s footsteps by attending the Dominica Grammar School (DGS). His time at DGS was marked by early athletic dominance, particularly in cricket and football, which were the school’s primary competitive disciplines.

Following his secondary education, Liam prioritized academic excellence alongside his professional sporting career:

• Undergraduate Studies: He attended the University of the West Indies (UWI), Cave Hill Campus, where he was a standout member of the UWI cricket team while pursuing his degree.
