Financial Secretary for Government of Dominica

The Financial Secretary is the chief technical advisor on fiscal and economic matters within the Government of Dominica. Operating at the highest level within the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development, Climate Resilience and Social Security, the Financial Secretary plays a pivotal role in managing national revenue, expenditures, debt, and economic strategy.
Core Responsibilities for the Financial Secretary
In collaboration with Permanent Secretaries and the Committee of Permanent Secretaries, the Financial Secretary ensures Cabinet measures are implemented. Responsibilities include shaping fiscal policy, guiding budget preparation, and directing public sector investment. The role also extends to managing financial institutions housed within the Ministry’s broader structure.
