About Mahaut Primary School

The Mahaut Primary School has significantly transformed by constructing a new, state-of-the-art facility. This initiative is a response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria in 2017, severely damaging the school infrastructure. The new building was completed in early 2022, representing a $7.5 million investment by the Government of Dominica to provide a modern, resilient, and fully equipped educational environment for the children of Mahaut.

The new Mahaut Primary School is a modern educational facility with ten classrooms, a computer lab, a resource room, an auditorium, and additional administrative spaces.

• The school will feature advanced facilities, including a daycare center and a kitchen, which are intended to support the educational and developmental needs of students from early childhood through primary levels.
