The United Workers Party (UWP) has re-elected Dr. Thomson Fontaine as its Political Leader, following a closely contested vote at the party’s recent delegates conference. The results confirm Fontaine’s continued leadership as the party moves into its next phase of political organisation and preparation.
Fontaine secured re-election after polling 83 votes, narrowly defeating challenger Pastor Randy Rodney, who received 75 votes. The outcome reflected strong participation and an engaged membership, with delegates voting across a full slate of executive positions tasked with overseeing organisational management, political strategy, and outreach.
