Job Description
Wacky Rollers is on the lookout for a dependable Truck Driver to support our island-wide adventure logistics. From transporting gear to safely navigating rough terrain, this role suits someone with practical driving skills and a love for outdoor operations.
Responsibility
- Operate trucks to transport adventure equipment and staff between sites
- Load and unload gear securely at designated locations
- Maintain cleanliness and service condition of vehicle
- Assist with logistical setup at tour launch points
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate basic maintenance
- Follow scheduled routes and adjust based on road or weather conditions
- Cooperate with tour leaders to ensure efficient operations
- Uphold safety standards for vehicle operation and cargo handling
Experience and Qualifications
- Valid heavy-duty driver’s license (Class C or equivalent)
- Prior truck driving experience, preferably in tourism or logistics
- Good knowledge of Dominica’s roads and terrain
- Ability to lift and transport heavy gear
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Team-player attitude and willingness to assist with tour logistics
- Swimming ability and foreign language skills are considered assets
- DDA License or Dominica State College Certification is an advantage, but not mandatory
