Training Technician

Job Description

Dragon Windows requires for immediate employment skillful, talented, outgoing, and energetic male individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years to fill our vacant positions of Training Technician at the junior level.

Responsibility

Reporting to the production manager and supervised by the assistant production manager the training technician will be responsible for learning and applying skills learnt while working within the production department at various workstations on the factory floor the training technician will also assist the field team or work on projects once assigned as this position will from time to time include fieldwork or work out of the factory when required or necessary.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Will Include but not be Limited to:

• Ability to identify company product types and styles and various materials including parts and accessories used in production.
• Ability to take and provide accurate measurements of product/s at various lines of production when necessary.
• Operating the v-cut machine used for cutting metal and UPVC and aluminum profiles in v shape.
• Cutting of holes on profiles for product installation
• Milling drainage slots or water holes on UPVC and aluminum profiles.
• Placement of metal reinforcement and stabilization of same with the use of other materials
• Operating the sticking machine used for sticking UPVC and aluminum profiles to form frames.
• Clipping of frames and frames corner cleaning
• Prepare materials for various workstations, for example, screws for assembling workstations.
• Ensure economic use of all materials used in the production and installation of company products.
• Assist with product assembling which includes putting handles, hinges, rubber, locks, etc.
• Strip cutting and fitting for glass fitting in frames.
• Assist with building and or assembling other types of products offered by the company as assigned.
• Safely and effectively operate machines and tools assigned.
• Carefully handle all work in progress and finished products, materials including parts and accessories to avoid scratches or damage.
• Ensure that incomplete and completed products and materials are of high quality and standard at every line of production where you are assigned.
• Ability to maintain clean and organized workspace and assist in daily cleaning as organized by the head of the department.
• Follow supervisor instructions and adhere to company HR rules and regulations whilst on the property and while conducting fieldwork.
• Perform any other related tasks effectively as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

• Education - a minimum of five (5) CXC subjects including Maths and English would be an asset.
• No experience is required as the successful applicants will be provided with robust on-the-job training, however, should the applicant have any experience in practical work of any kind or related this would be an asset.
