Job Description

Join InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa as a Receptionist and become the welcoming face of our luxury experience. This front-line role demands professionalism, warm communication, and multitasking in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Ideal candidates thrive on guest satisfaction, manage systems efficiently, and bring calm confidence to high-pressure moments.

Responsibility

  • Manage front desk operations and guest check-in/check-out processes
  • Operate hotel systems such as Opera for reservations and billing
  • Respond to guest inquiries via phone, email, or in-person
  • Coordinate VIP requests and assist with special service arrangements
  • Maintain accurate records and process administrative tasks
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments for guest needs
  • Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism and care
  • Ensure lobby and reception area remain presentable at all times

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proficient in using hotel operating systems (e.g., Opera)
  • Basic administrative and computer skills
  • Strong telephone etiquette and multitasking abilities
  • Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Personalized, attentive guest service, focused on satisfaction, including handling VIPs and special requests.
  • Effective collaboration and flexibility for diverse working hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality and professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
  • Good communication and passionate about customer service. Good command over written & spoken English; additional languages are an asset
