Job Description
Unicomer Dominica is seeking a Merchandising Officer with sharp organizational skills and business insight. This role focuses on managing stock efficiently, supporting buying strategies, and ensuring product visibility across multiple territories. If you excel in analysis, logistics coordination, and driving performance through structured merchandising, this position offers the chance to grow within a leading regional group.
Responsibility
- Works with the OECS Merchandising Administration Supervisor to ensure optimal supply of stock to the business as per the agreed country buying strategy.
- Monitors, manages and minimizes Aged Stock (in line with set targets) throughout the business.
- Supports the processing all documents in conjunction with the logistics department to support the clearance and distribution of goods through the OECS territories.
- Performs stock entry, coding and ticket management for designated countries and stores to include aligning information with current promotions, consistent with visual merchandising standard.
- Collates reports for the costing and numerical analysis as needed to support stock and product management functions.
- Builds inventory movement reports to highlight slow movers and aged products to inform business decisions.
- Prepares reports on product performance, pricing and margins to include best sellers report.
- Submits monthly/fortnightly/weekly Buying Reports and Analysis.
- Visits all branches to ensure effective product pricing, inventory levels and standardized displays are at all points of sale.
- Visits all warehouses and storage areas to visually assess stockholding, stock rotation and storage conditions.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Business Studies
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Computer literacy MS Office Suite – proficiency in spreadsheet and presentation software.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable in fast-paced environment.
- Customer service orientation – internal and external.
- Confident and assertive.
