Maintenance Manager

Job Description

Take the next step in your facilities management career with Secret Bay. As Maintenance Manager, you will guide maintenance operations, coordinate technical resources, and help preserve the exceptional quality, appearance, and performance of one of Dominica's leading luxury resorts.

Responsibility

• Oversee daily maintenance operations across the resort.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Supervise, train, and support the maintenance team.
• Inspect buildings, villas, utilities, and equipment regularly.
• Coordinate repairs with contractors and service providers.
• Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and purchasing.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and guest requests.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and asset documentation.
• Recommend facility upgrades to improve efficiency and reliability.

Experience and Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years' experience managing maintenance operations.
• Experience in hospitality, resorts, or luxury properties preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies when required.
