Lead Farmer

Job Description

Step into a supervisory farming role with Kubuli Farms as Lead Farmer at Beauplant. You will coordinate nursery and field operations, oversee tools and irrigation, and support training for new staff. Responsibility

• Plan and allocate daily and weekly field tasks for the crew
• Supervise land preparation, planting, weeding, fertilising, and harvesting
• Monitor crop performance and report pests, diseases, or irrigation issues
• Check use and care of tools, equipment, and farm infrastructure
• Support training of nursery, field, and hydroponic staff where needed
• Maintain basic production records, input usage, and labour reports

Experience and Qualifications

• Several years of practical farming experience, preferably in vegetables or mixed crops
• Previous experience guiding or supervising farm workers is an advantage
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and handle physical tasks
• Commitment to safe work practices and respect for company procedures
• Willingness to live onsite is an asset where housing is available
