Cashier/Pump Attendant

Job Description

A.C. Shillingford & Co Ltd. is seeking a motivated individual for the role of Cashier/Pump Attendant. The job involves overnight customer service, pump handling, and maintaining accurate cash registers within the Rubis (High Street) Service Station. You’ll be expected to work independently, follow emergency procedures, and keep precise records. A great fit for someone with solid focus and time management.

The Station requires persons who are willing and able to work overnight (11:00pm to 7:00am) on weekends and days preceding holidays to serve our customers.

Responsibility

• Provide customers with instructions on fueling and use of pumps.
• Provide information on store products, fuel types, and services.
• Operate cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Balance cash drawer at the start and end of shift.
• Promote and upsell convenience store items.
• Report all equipment malfunctions or unusual incidents and shut off pumps in case of emergency or safety risk.
• Complete all required checklists, logs or forms during and at the end of all shifts.

Experience and Qualifications

• Basic Math and computer skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail and good time management.
• Ability to remain alert and calm during emergencies or late night hours.
