Job Description
Arthur Waldron SDA Academy is seeking a creative and energetic Canteen Assistant to support the daily operations of its school canteen. The successful candidate will prepare and serve nutritious snacks and meals, maintain food safety standards, and engage with students and staff in a warm, professional manner.
Responsibility
- Prepare healthy and appealing meals and snacks for students and staff
- Assist with the daily setup and cleanup of the canteen area
- Maintain proper hygiene and sanitation in all food preparation processes
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies when necessary
- Provide courteous service and communicate effectively with students and faculty
- Support any school-related catering needs or special events as assigned
Experience and Qualifications
- Energetic, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Demonstrated creativity in food preparation and presentation
- Holder of a valid food handler’s permit
- Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols
- Experience in a school or food service environment is an asset
