Our award-winning developer is seeking a dynamic Assistant General Manager with the right personality and motivation to be mentored into becoming our resort’s General Manager.

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional who is eager to learn every aspect of resort operations while working closely alongside senior leadership. Responsibility

Your path from Assistant GM --> to --> General Manager

You will work directly with the Developer/Managing Director and the outgoing General Manager as well as other Senior Team Leaders to gain comprehensive exposure in all areas of operations of this unique resort then become the General Manager when you are ready. During the mentorship period, you will progressively assume greater operational and leadership responsibilities while developing the skills required to successfully move into the GM role. 

The role requires a highly visible, hands-on leader who enjoys working alongside staff, solving problems, supporting guests, and continuously improving the operation.

You will ultimately be responsible for all aspects of our resort, which consists of 89 guest accomodations, two restaurants, a health spa, four yoga/conference studios, a gift shop, several vehicles plus other front and back of house facilities. 

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to overseeing the financial management & administrative team, all aspects of food and beverage, guest services, sales and marketing, physical property management, housekeeping, spa services, transportation and inhouse tour services and more. 

You will learn all aspects of the operation of the resort through hands-on involvement and interactions with the various members of the team. You will be expected to lead by example through a visible presence across all departments. 

You will also be expected to support, coach, and develop team members at all levels and to foster and reinforce a positive and respectful workplace culture. 

Your duties will include resolving guest concerns and operational challenges while building strong relationships with staff, guests, suppliers, and the local community. You will be expected to uphold and ensure continuous improvement in guest experience standards and support the implementation and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 

You will be expected to participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and performance management and to help drive accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence across all departments of the resort.

Experience and Qualifications

Some other specific responsibilities will include oversight of preventative maintenance and the ongoing upgrading of the physical property. 

The Ideal Candidate 

• Our ideal candidate must be emotionally mature and dependable professional with a strong work ethic and genuine desire to grow into a dynamic General Manager. They will need to have several years of leadership experience in boutique hotels, resorts, eco-lodges, or wellness properties. They will be required to have formal training in hotel management, hospitality, business, or a related field and also possess excellent communication, interpersonal skills and fluency in English (French or German are helpful). 
• Candidates must be prepared to work on weekends, holidays, and evenings and must have experience providing exceptional service to both leisure and business guests and business.
• The successful candidate must possess strong leadership potential with the ability to motivate and inspire others with demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and support team members.
• The candidate must possess good administrative and financial aptitude, including budgeting and cost control and must be comfortable using hospitality technology including PMS, POS, reporting, & other systems
• They must be willing to take a hands-on operational role when needed and last but certainly not least, they must already have a passion for wellness, adventure tourism, sustainability, and community engagement
