Flow Restores Services Following Regional Network Outage

Flow Dominica has announced the full restoration of services across the island following a major regional network outage that disrupted connectivity for customers in both Dominica and Saint Lucia.
The interruption, which began on Sunday, June 21, affected residential and business customers and was later classified as a crisis-level event by the telecommunications provider. The disruption impacted broadband and IP-based services, prompting the activation of Flow’s Regional Network Disaster Response and Recovery Centre as well as local crisis management teams.
According to Flow, technical teams across the region worked around the clock to identify and resolve the problem, which investigators believe was linked to a suspected network fault. The company mobilized regional technical resources and maintained continuous communication with customers through social media platforms, SMS messages and local media outlets while restoration efforts were underway.
Marketing and Communications Executive at Flow Dominica, Francine Harve Jean-Jacques, confirmed that services have now been fully restored.
“Flow wishes to advise customers that services have been fully restored following the regional network outage which affected customers in Saint Lucia and Dominica,” she said.
Havre-Jean-Jacques acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the disruption, particularly for customers who depend on internet and telecommunications services for business operations, education, communication and entertainment.
The company has also announced measures aimed at ensuring customers do not incur additional charges as a result of the outage. Flow stated that customers who may have used extra mobile data because of the interruption in internet services will not be billed for any out-of-plan usage associated with the incident.
“We understand that the interruption in internet services may have resulted in increased mobile data usage for some customers. As part of our commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience, we will ensure that customers are not billed for any out-of-plan mobile data usage that may have resulted from this incident,” Havre Jean-Jacques explained.
While services have been restored, customers experiencing any lingering issues have been advised to restart their devices and contact customer support if additional assistance is required.
Flow said it remains committed to reviewing the incident and continuing investments aimed at improving the resilience and reliability of its network infrastructure across the region.
