Job Description
Dominica State College invites applications from all qualified candidates who are interested in lecturing English. Under the general supervision of the Faculty Dean, the lecturer equips students with competencies in the specific subject area, preparing them for lifelong work and successful completion of their current programme by:
Responsibility
- Planning units of work from the prescribed syllabus
- Delivering instruction to designated classes as per timetable
- Evaluating students’ performance in relation to the objectives of the course
- Maintaining students’ records as required by the college
- Supporting the Faculty Dean in miscellaneous institutional strengthening activities
Experience and Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Education
- A first degree in Education or related disciple
- A certificate in Education would be an asset
- Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience (Higher Education preferred)
- A strong background in Research Methods, Child and Adolescent Psychology, Classroom Management, and Planning, and Instructions
- Experience in supervising teachers in the classroom setting would be a great asset
